Wayne Rooney, 30, has seen his six year old son Kai join Manchester United’s development squad.
The club captain’s son will play alongside teammate Michael Carrick whose son Jacey is also playing for United’s youngsters.
The sessions takes place at the club’s old Cliff training ground in Salford, Gtr Manchester, and sees around 25 youngsters playing for the development squad.
According to Thee Mirror, Kai’s mum Coleen, 30, has also helped taking him to practice when Wayne is away playing football in the week.
While Rooney was away on international duty teammate Carrick, 35, chipped in by taking his son and Kai to training.

A source said: “Wayne and Michael really get into it when they bring their their boys down. The kids seem to love it and have been coming down regularly in the week to train with the young development squad.
“It’s a bit funny because both their dads aren’t playing as much any more but these guys could be the club’s stars of the future.”
Manchester United’s youth development side is made up of top local talent from the scouting of clubs and also by invitation.
Players are not contracted to United but are trained and filtered for the club’s older age groups.
Youngsters joining United sign schoolboy forms when they are aged 10 or 11. If they are successful they are offered professional deals at the age of 16.
