• May leave Nnewi side after Federation Cup final
FC IfeanyiUbah’s head coach, Raphael Everton has told SportingLife that he is in the dark about his future with the Anambra Warriors and that the Federation Cup final of which the date has not been fixed may be his last game with the club.
Everton, a Brazillian, almost delivered a continental ticket to the Nnewi side in the league until his wards were beaten by MFM in Lagos on the final day of the NPFL season and he has led the club to the final of the Federation Cup awaiting the winner of the Enyimba and Nasarawa United semi final tie.
He told SportingLife that he is not distracted by his lack of knowledge about his future and that FC IfeanyiUbah are focused on lifting the competition and clinch the continental ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“I don’t know about my future for now but we are preparing for the final of the Federation Cup and thereafter we will know what is left. We came fourth in the league and only missed out on a place in Africa by a single point,” Everton told SportingLife.
FC IfeanyiUbah were fourth on the log with 56 points from 36 matches at the end of last season.
