Imama Amapakabo has debunked claims of him having signed a new deal with the Enugu Rangers.
The tactician wrote his name in gold after leading the the Flying Antelopes to their first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) trophy after 32 years.
However, he stated that he went into a meeting with Rangers management immediately he got to Enugu on Thursday but he hasn’t signed a contract yet.
“I am very tired as i speak, I just got back from a trip and went into a meeting with the management. When I rose up from the meeting I just said I will stay but nothing more than that. No formal signing has been done. I am surprised to see it in the media that i have signed,” Amapakabo told Goal.
“I felt it would be embarrassing if i go to the press without anything concrete since we haven’t agreed yet but I was surprise to see it in the press that I have signed a two-years contract when I haven’t done anything.”
