Former England and Chelsea star John Terry reacted to Wayne Rooney’s problems, who has been dropped from the Three Lions’ starting XI.

The Three Lions captain has been out of form for both club and country following his recent performances in the Premier League and against Malta where he was booed at Wembley Stadium after a miss-hit shot.

Rooney who will turn 31 this month has also come under fire form the fans at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho has been forced to relegate United’s second all-time to goal scorer to the bench.

And Terry  has shown voiced his displeasure at the criticisms aimed at Rooney and feels his former team-mate should be treated with more respect:  “England’s highest record goalscorer in the history of our game. Soon to be the most capped player our great country has ever produced. One of the very best players I have seen and had the pleasure playing with in my lifetime and a man who has given everything for England. An absolute LEGEND at Everton, Man Utd, England and world football. We should all show more respect to this great player and man. Let’s all get behind Wayne and the England team tomorrow.”
