Recall that during the Senate’s session earlier today, President Muhammadu Buhari had forwarded the names of the two justices, Paul Jauro from Taraba State, North East and Sidi Bage from Nasarawa State, North Central for confirmation and appointment.
In the letter, the president said that the nomination was in line with Section 231(2) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, as soon as news filtered in about the president’s nominations, some Nigerians from other parts of the country passed a bias verdict on the list.
Comments that trailed the news on the nomination queried why names from the southern and eastern part of Nigeria are often omitted in most Buhari appointments.
