6 quotes on Buhari’s policy from northern leaders

The Northern Elders Forum held the annual pan northern summit of leaders and elders of the region on Monday, October 10, in Kaduna.

The meeting was attended by political and traditional leaders from the northern part.

Speakers at the meeting included the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar and Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima.

Here are 6 things the northern leaders said about President Muhammadu Buhari.

1. The northern leaders talked about Boko Haram

Today we meet in Kaduna in a vastly-improved security atmosphere, with Boko Haram pinned to enclaves.

“President Buhari is our saviour in North east, his coming saw to the degradation of the Boko Haram sect even though they are not yet completely eliminated.”

4. They also reminded him that life is becoming more difficult by the day

Inflation is making life difficult by the day. People are losing jobs. Businesses are closing down. Infrastructure is decaying. Young Nigerians are losing hope of being employed. Our hospitals are full of people who suffer mysterious illnesses, and they cannot afford the fees.”
